10W-40 100% Synthetic Metric Motorcycle Oil
AMSOIL 10W-40 Metric Synthetic Motorcycle Oil is a premium-grade lubricant specifically engineered for motorcycle engines. It is the result of extensive research and development to deliver superior performance across all types of motorcycle riding styles, including high-RPM engines and dry-clutch systems. It is capable of handling extreme pressure placed on motorcycle transmissions. AMSOIL 10W-40 Metric has been proven to outperform both conventional and many synthetic motorcycle oils available on the market.

There is no need for separate gear oil when using AMSOIL 10W-40 Metric. It delivers outstanding transmission protection and can withstand extreme pressure. In the FZG gear test, AMSOIL Metric earned a perfect score with zero wear, confirming its superior gear protection.
3. Superior Rust Protection
Motorcycles are highly susceptible to rust due to environmental moisture. Rust can cause significant engine damage, including excessive wear and cylinder compression loss. Unlike conventional oils, AMSOIL 10W-40 Metric includes superior rust inhibitors and has passed the ASTM D-1748 corrosion test (see Technical Data section).
4. Enhanced Wet-Clutch Compatibility
AMSOIL 10W-40 Metric contains no friction modifiers and includes advanced additives for smooth shifting, effective clutch engagement, temperature control, and slip prevention. This extends clutch life. The oil meets JASO T903:2006 MA/MA2 wet-clutch specifications and ISO-L-LEMA2 per ISO 24254:2007.

Compatibility with Other Oils
AMSOIL 10W-40 Metric is compatible with both synthetic and conventional motor oils. However, mixing oils will reduce the oil’s performance and life expectancy. AMSOIL does not guarantee extended drain intervals when mixed and does not recommend any aftermarket oil additives.
Service Life

On-road use: Up to 1 year or 2x the OEM-recommended oil change interval (10,000-12,000 km.), whichever comes first.

Off-road use: Follow the OEM-recommended oil change interval.
