In very cold conditions, its structure prevents wax formation, allowing smooth gear operation. It also contributes to improved fuel efficiency.

Applications

AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 Synthetic Gear Oil is ideal for heavy-duty applications such as towing, steep hill driving, racing, and off-road use (e.g., pickup trucks, 4×4 vehicles, tractors). It is suitable for differentials or manual transmissions requiring 75W-110, 75W-90, or 80W-90 viscosity grades and meets the following specifications:

• API GL-5

• MT-1

• MIL-PRF-2105E

• Dana SHAES 234 (formerly Easton PS-037)

• Mack GO-J

• Gear oils specified by GM, Ford, and Daimler Chrysler for hypoid differentials

• Compatible with gears requiring API GL-4

Service Life

Passenger Cars, SUVs, or Pickups

• Normal conditions: up to 160,000 km per change

• Severe conditions: up to 80,000 km per change

Off-Road Vehicles

• Follow the manufacturer’s manual for synthetic lubricant intervals, up to 160,000 km or 2 years maximum

Heavy-Duty Trucks

• Follow the manufacturer’s manual for synthetic lubricant intervals, up to 192,000 km or 2 years maximum

Caution

If the operating environment involves water contamination or heavy dust and dirt, extended drain intervals are not recommended. Change the oil at the standard recommended intervals.
