AMSOIL Z-ROD Synthetic Motor Oil<\/strong> is specially formulated for classic cars and high-performance vehicles. It contains a high concentration of zinc (ZDDP)<\/strong> to protect flat-tappet camshafts and other critical engine components. Additionally, it features AMSOIL\u2019s proprietary rust and corrosion inhibitors<\/strong> to safeguard engines during long periods of storage.<\/p>\n

Outstanding Flat-Tappet Cam Wear Protection<\/strong>
Classic and high-performance engines typically use flat-tappet camshafts where the lifters and cam lobes constantly rub against each other, generating friction and heat. This leads to wear on the cam, which can reduce valve performance, horsepower, and overall engine efficiency.
Unlike other engine areas that use pressure lubrication<\/strong>, this part of the engine relies on splash lubrication<\/strong>, which provides less oil film protection. AMSOIL Z-ROD is engineered with high levels of ZDDP (Zinc Dialkyldithiophosphate)<\/strong> to prevent metal-to-metal contact and protect against wear, including scuffing and scoring.<\/p>\n
