Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil 10W-30
General Information
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil is specifically formulated for heavy-duty diesel engines. It offers four times better wear protection compared to the Detroit Diesel DD13 standard, delivering outstanding engine performance. It also maintains excellent flow properties in cold temperatures (resists thickening) and withstands high heat under heavy-duty conditions.
Maximum Engine Protection
Wear typically occurs around the piston rings and cylinder walls, leading to increased oil consumption and reduced compression in the combustion chamber. This results in decreased engine power and higher fuel consumption. Independent testing shows that AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil delivers up to 4 times better performance compared to other leading brands (see illustration).
Viscosity Control
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil uses high-quality base oils, detergents, and dispersants to minimize changes in viscosity due to soot and contaminants. It prevents sludge and soot from clumping into larger particles, which are a leading cause of engine wear. The oil also has a lower volatility, helping to maintain viscosity even under high temperatures. This translates to better engine protection and improved fuel efficiency.
Outstanding Performance in Extreme Temperatures
This synthetic diesel oil resists thermal breakdown and oxidation far better than conventional oils. It allows the engine to operate efficiently under high heat. In extremely cold conditions, it continues to flow smoothly, ensuring easier oil circulation during startup and protecting the engine during those crucial first moments.
Reduced Oil Consumption
The AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil formula is engineered with low volatility (burn-off), minimizing oil loss during operation. Test results show it reduces oil consumption by up to 66% compared to the CK-4 standard.

Compatibility with Other Oils
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional engine oils. However, mixing may reduce its performance and shorten its service life. AMSOIL does not guarantee extended drain intervals when mixed with other oils, and the use of aftermarket oil additives is not recommended.
Service Life
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil follows OEM recommendations and vehicle owner’s manuals. Extended drain intervals may be possible if oil analysis is performed.
