HP Marine Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil
HP Marine Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil
High-quality engine oil is crucial for modern 2-stroke marine engines. Nowadays, engines use Direct Fuel Injection (DFI), which improves combustion efficiency and increases engine power. However, this also results in higher engine temperatures. Additionally, environmental regulations require reducing the oil-to-fuel ratio to lower emissions, which means less engine lubrication. Poor-quality engine oil can therefore lead to engine damage and reduced lifespan. AMSOIL HP Marine 2-Stroke Engine Oil has been proven to deliver outstanding performance under severe operating conditions by effectively controlling heat, wear, friction, and reducing exhaust emissions.
Outstanding Wear Protection
Typically, 2-stroke marine engines generate high heat and friction that exceed the film strength of conventional engine oils, resulting in scratches and increased wear. AMSOIL HP Marine 2-Stroke Engine Oil features an exceptionally strong film that withstands extreme heat and friction beyond engine requirements, helping reduce scratching and wear on marine engines. (See the 534-hour test results in the image below.)
Excellent Deposit Control
The synthetic AMSOIL HP Marine 2-Stroke Engine Oil is formulated with MAXDOSE™, a premium additive designed to clean the engine and minimize deposits. In real-world testing, AMSOIL HP Marine Oil effectively prevented piston ring deposits (see the accompanying image).
Proven by Marine E-TEC Testing
AMSOIL HP Marine 2-Stroke Engine Oil has been tested in a 250-horsepower Evinrude E-TEC engine. After a 28-hour break-in period, the engine underwent an additional 506 hours of testing, followed by disassembly and evaluation according to ASTM standards. The test results achieved scores of 8–9 out of 10. Complete test results can be found in Marine E-TEC.pdf.
AMSOIL HP Marine 2-Stroke Engine Oil is suitable for use in:
-
Johnson® and Evinrude® FICHT® & E-TEC™ (replaces XD100™ 2-Cycle Oil)
-
Mercury® EFI & Optimax®
-
Yamaha®
-
Nissan® and Tohatsu® TLDI®
-
Suzuki®
-
Mariner® and Force®
-
General small 2-stroke marine engines (PWC)
It is designed for 50:1 premix ratios as specified by NMMA TC-W3 or API TC standards (2.6 oz. per 3.784 liters).
It is compatible with most other engine oils, but mixing should be minimized whenever possible.
